for Lymphoedema

FG-MLD Fluoroscopy Guided Manual Lymphatic Drainage for diagnosed lymphoedema in the upper and lower limb, for cases where damage has occurred through cancer treatments, node removal and surgery.

An up-to-date evidence-based (fill and flush) hands on massage technique for upper and lower limbs, which enhances fluid movement, swelling reduction and encourages skin repair. For optimal results it is advised to use alongside the use of compression garments.

The Fill and Flush massage technique was developed through research at the University of Brussels by Professor Belgrado. Studies were carried out by injecting a Indocyanine Green dye just under the skin, which would attach to water molecules and travel into the lymphatic system. With the use of photo dynamic eye camera, it is now possible to see how a lymphatic system works in real time, identifying issues/blockages, and the best alternative pathways to a functional part of the system. 100s of studies were carried out on upper and lower limbs with lymphatic failure, results of these studies have given us the knowledge in locating the most effective drainage routes. FG-MLD offers an alternative to traditional styles of MLD which is evidence proven to be highly effective.
